This article is probably not for you if you live outside the UK but read on for those who are.
As a company, YouGov describes itself as pioneering the use of the Internet and information technology and their approach does seem effective. Surveys are completed online and usually take between ten and fifteen minutes to complete. Doing one is sometimes a good way to get that thinking time when a problem appears which should have an easy answer but it simply refuses to emerge from the brain.
Of course, they do not expect you to participate in their survey for no reward. Survey participation is rewarded with points then those points can be redeemed for money. It is no get rich scheme though because participants are rewarded with 50-100 points for completing a survey. Once 5000 points is reached then a £50 cheque can be claimed. That money would cover a meal for two once the target is reached.

I've been doing their surveys for a few months now and rather enjoy the few minutes that they take to do. It will take a long time to reach the £50 payout although that will be a nice bonus. I'm not doing it for the money but as a way to put my views forward and have some fun in the process.
To get involved, all that is needed is to go to the YouGov website where you can signup and then soon start receiving email invitations to surveys. Just do not expect the points total to rapidly rise because it will take time.
One further way of earning points is to tell friends about YouGov because extra points are available when people signup that way. It may come as no surprise to learn that this article is doing exactly that because the author will earn some bonus points if YouGov gain extra panel participants as a result of it being published.
